As a business owner it can be very difficult to meet other businesses or other business owners in your industry. When you become a member of your local Chamber of Commerce especially in the Bellevue Harpeth area you have the opportunity to meet new businesses and business owners throughout Nashville. Meeting new businesses can give you the opportunity to connect, to grow your business, and even to lead other businesses who might need to follow in your footsteps. As an [...]
After more than a decade of planning, securing funds, and -- finally -- construction, Bellevue’s new branch library celebrated its official grand opening on Jan. 29 with an all-day celebration. Bo Mitchell, and Charlie Tygard, Nashville Public Library Director Kent Oliver, and Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce President Jad Duncan. and many local community members excited to see the completed facility. When TailGate Beer and owner Wesley Keegan, one of the Chamber's newest members, held its official grand opening on Feb. 7, chamber president Jad Duncan and several board members were on hand to welcome him to Bellevue. Of course, while each had one hand available for handshakes, the other hand certainly was holding out for a brew. Keegan has transformed the former “creepy little Moose Lodge with more wood paneling than I know what to do with" (his words) on Charlotte Pike just east of Old Hickory Boulevard, into a barroom, event space, retail shop, and more importantly, a craft beer [...]
In Bellevue, things change. And the Chamber embraces change -- with one exception. Every year for the past 37 years, on the third Saturday in May, the chamber co-hosts the Bellevue Picnic. The only way the annual community event changes is by getting better every year. The 38th annual Bellevue Community Picnic, sponsored by Nashville Christian School, is set for Saturday, May 16 at Red Caboose Park, 656 Colice Jeanne Road. The free event draws more than 10,000 visitors each year for its arts, music and food. Sponsorship support is a crucial component to putting on the picnic. Chamber member Nashville Christian School secured [...]
The Bellevue Harpeth Chamber works hard to connect Chamber-member businesses to other member businesses and potential new ones. One of the key initiatives for 2015 is to host a series of networking events to establish connections and foster new ideas through training and other learning experiences.
