Dixon Center & Harpeth Valley Health are open normal business hours on Monday’s, Wednesday’s, Thursday’s, and Friday’s. For the month of April, we are CLOSED on Tuesday’s. This is temporary! We are open as essential businesses, and we are ready to serve those who need our care.
We want to ensure our patients that we are open as part of the solution.
In a formal letter to Governor Bill Lee, the Tennessee Chiropractic Association affirmed that Doctors of Chiropractic are essential health care providers who are ready to serve their communities, both in daily care and in times of urgent need, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic. The TCA explains that, “Doctors of Chiropractic in Tennessee are licensed as first point of contact, extensively trained, primary care providers and largely concentrate on neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions. As such, these doctors are well trained to address the non-COVID-19 neuromuscular and musculoskeletal complaints”.
We support “jurisdiction at all levels in utilizing chiropractic as an essential health care resource, especially during a pandemic when chiropractors can keep non-infected pain patients out of high-risk physician offices and hospitals. We understand that with the severity of the current pandemic, hospital emergency departments may soon be filled with patients complaining of pulmonary symptoms” or other life-threatening emergencies.
At Dixon Center, we are here to do our part. We have a limited staff, and we are taking all necessary guidelines to protect the safety of our patients as well as our staff. The Board of Chiropractic Examiners recognize doctors of chiropractic (DC’s) as essential healthcare providers serving routinely and in times of urgent need for professional service, and to counsel patients. We are following recommendations and protocols established by the Centers of Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) regarding COVID-19.
At Harpeth Valley Health, we are urging our patients to take advantage of our telemedicine program. Phone call appointments, and virtual appointments are available to you. If you need care, we are here for you. If you have symptoms, or simply need routine care, telemedicine is so easy and convenient. We are happy to walk you through the process.
The health and safety of our patients is of utmost importance, and we hope that everyone is staying safe during this time.
