BHCC Expands Advocacy Efforts in Partnership with Nashville Area Chamber

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug 4.) – Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce and Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce announced today an advocacy partnership between the two organizations that will strengthen the region’s unified business voice in the Tennessee General Assembly. The regional advocacy affiliation already includes Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce and Maury County Chamber & Economic Alliance.

Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce members will have access to Middle Tennessee Business Voice, an online tool administered by Nashville Area Chamber, which tracks legislative issues and facilitates communications with elected officials. Its members can also participate in an annual policy survey that will help shape the alliance’s annual legislative agenda.

“Those in the Bellevue business community deserve to have their voices heard when it comes to legislative issues that affect the business climate,” said Amy Napoli, CEO of the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber. “We look forward to working with Nashville Chamber’s exceptional policy and advocacy staff and bringing these important issues to light for our members.”

“A regional business voice is critical to maintaining a strong business environment in Middle Tennessee,” said Nashville Area Chamber President and CEO Ralph Schulz. “We welcome Bellevue Harpeth Chamber of Commerce to this coalition so we can more clearly inform legislators about the issues that are important to the businesses of this area.”

This partnership provides the means for an expanded and more influential effort to advocate on issues that are important to the business community of Middle Tennessee. While this collective effort is important when the participating chambers share priorities, each organization retains its own membership and continues to have complete control over its own legislative positions.
