On Tuesday, Feb. 4th, members of the Board and Member Relations Committee presented “Networking 101” for 35 members of the Chamber at the Bellevue Library.

Member Relations Committee Chair Jacob Tippets said, “Our members are looking for valuable services from the chamber, and they tell us that one of their top needs is networking. We are very intentional about listening to our members and providing them with useful information and tips they can use to grow their business. This Networking 101 training Lunch & Learn will definitely help our members learn to network like a pro!” Chamber President Steve Blume presented several ideas to help local business leaders network more effectively by learning to hone their “elevator speech,” make sure their conversations are relational and interesting, and networking not just to make a sale or grow business, but to genuinely get to know the other person and help them make connections as well.

Member Relations Committee member Tami Terrell from Simmons Bank, provided lunch for the group. The Chamber would like to thank Simmons Bank for their generous donation of food and for their long-term membership with the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber!
