More than 90 business and community leaders gathered at Temple Hills Country Club for the last Chamber Luncheon of 2019.

Members of the chamber learned more about the services provided by several Chamber sponsors, including Community Leader Sponsor Granite Retirement and Tax Advisory, Community Champion Sponsor Regions Bank, Presenting Luncheon Sponsor The Lodge at Natchez Trace, and Picnic Sponsor Advance Financial.

Dr. Ming Wang, Harvard & MIT grad, Founder and Chairman of the Wang Foundation for Sight Restoration, owner of several patents and all around incredibly successful guy, was the keynote speaker. Dr. Wang told the story of his trials in communist China, his journey to America with only $50 in his pocket, and his path to becoming one of the world’s most renowned eye surgeons. Dr. Wang has helped countless people all over the world because of his tireless efforts to improve the methodologies used in eye surgery. The Wang Foundation for Sigh Restoration has helped patients from more than 40 states and 55 countries with all sight restoration surgeries performed free of charge.

His book, From Darkness to Sight – a Journey From Hardship to Healing – is available at most bookstores, Amazon and other e-commerce sites.

The Chamber would like to give a special thanks to Lynne Warne at Nothing Bundt Cakes for donating a cake to Dr. Wang as a speaker gift. Lynn generously provides a cake for each Chamber event, and we appreciate it so much!
