70 professional women from the Bellevue area gathered for lunch, served by the Loveless Food Truck. After a fun “Sweet to meet you” icebreaking game led by Board member Sandra Harris, the group heard from presenting sponsor, Vanderbilt Health’s Director of Women’s Health, Dr. Daniel Biller. Greta Mullinax and Debbie Huntzinger represented Community Leader Sponsor NHC Place at the Trace and gave a brief overview of the facility’s services. Connie Jo Shelton, President of Community Leader Sponsor Nashville Christian School, spoke about the school’s mission and their beneficial partnership with the Bellevue Harpeth Chamber.
At each Women of the VUE event, guests are encouraged to bring a donation for a charitable organization that supports women. At our August event, we chose to support the work of the YWCA. President & CEO of the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee Sharon Roberson (introduced by the Wilson Group’s Cindy Crocker) informed the crowd about the programs and services offered by the YW, as well as their mission to make Nashville a safer city for women and girls. They were thrilled with the generosity of the professional women of Bellevue.
Board member Darla Morrison introduced Keynote speaker Csilla Muscan (link to her bio) , who performed a beautiful rendition of “God Bless the Broken Road” before giving a thoughtful and heartfelt presentation about the most important traits of leadership.
The Chamber would like to thank the Bellevue Church of Christ for hosting the event, Nothing Bundt Cakes for providing the speaker gift and door prize, and all our members and guests who attended.
Karen Whelan, Development Director for Nashville Christian School, chairs the committee. We encourage all business women in the Bellevue area to engage with us to connect, lead and grow. The next Women of the VUE event will be in early November.
